What Is Life Coaching?
Who is Coaching For?
Welcome to my passion project and way of spreading joy and positivity into the world. This page was created to be a safe space where people from all over can come together to share ideas, empower each other, and create a better, brighter future.
While I will be sharing some of my story and lessons learned, I am excited to learn from your experiences as well. I hope visiting this page every week leaves you feeling ENERGIZED, CONFIDENT, and UNDERSTOOD. I am excited to go on this journey with you.
SURROUND YOURSELF WITH SUPPORT
No matter how busy you are, how successful you become, you need friends! Being a CEO (especially of your own business) is hard. There will be times when you will question why you are doing what you are doing. A good friend will be there when you need a pep talk, be a sound board for new ideas, and be honest with you when you need it most.
DON’T DO IT ONLY FOR THE MONEY
This may sound cliché, but it is true. While being the boss of your own business can bring in good money, that should not be your motivation. Passion, not dollars, will be what will get you through the hard times. Business success is 80% psychology and 20% mechanics. Fall in love with the problem you are solving for yourself and others.
BE GRATEFUL
This is a secret to real productivity. Write down three things that you are grateful for every day; this will help shape your day and set the positive tone and energy you need to create success. This simple act will make you feel happy and ready to get stuff done!
NO ONE MANAGES YOUR DREAMS BUT YOU
While getting feedback and asking for help from others is a great way to learn, make sure you are listening to yourself first. Your dreams and ambitions are yours to control- don’t give space in your mind to people who don’t deserve it.
TAKE TIME TO DO THINGS RIGHT
There is often an expectation to hustle, especially in the world of 24/7 connectivity! . While we should be eager and excited to do more, it’s OK to embrace a slower pace to make sure it gets done right.
About Me
Hello friends! My name is Troie Battles and I am so excited you are here. Over the last 25 years, I have learned the ins and outs, experienced the ups and downs, and tried the dos and don’ts of starting and running a business.
It’s been a crazy ride, but one I would not take back! Being an entrepreneur is so much fun – but it’s also a lot of work. Right now, you may be just getting started or already running your dream.
You may be simply looking to grow your business or maybe you’ve been struggling. I HAVE. BEEN. THERE! I have had my fair share of sleepless nights, and amazing victories that have helped me build my passion.
Testimonials
“I feel like I’m on top of my business and have time left over for the things I’m doing it all for in the first place.”
“I’m much more confident about the way my business is growing and I’m taking personal responsibility for the failures without falling apart.”
“I took a step back and really got to know my business. Now I greet my customers with a stronger confidence and I’m more sure of myself in everyday life.”

BE PATIENT
This has always been integral to success. We want to see results yesterday and this is often a hard concept for people to accept- especially when facing challenges. Rather than giving up at the first sign of struggle, take time to re-think the situation and don’t take “no” as the final answer; it may just be a “no” for now.
PIVOT, PIVOT, PIVOT
It’s very rare to have everything work out on the first try. Instead of starting over, learn to pivot direction and use what you already have to make whatever you’re working on better! Sometimes having a path or a rigid business plan can limit you. Your journey will not go as planned. Change is the only guarantee in this life. So, think of your business like a meadow not a path – full of blooms and opportunity.
CHOOSE FRIENDS WISELY
You become like the people you surround yourself with, so make sure they are in alignment with your goals! Never stop building meaningful relationships with your customers and other people in your industry. Choosing to view competitors as potential partners and collaborators can positively impact your business in a big way.
Find Your Balance. Set Your Goals. Take A Challenge. Reward Yourself.
Timing is key, and doors open quickly. You need to be ready to walk through the door when the right opportunity is opened. You cannot sign up to run a full marathon and run it effectively without ever training. Be willing to work and work hard! The payoff is big mentally, emotionally, and financially.
Positive or negative, your customers are your best critics. They are the ones buying, using, and sharing your product. They have the best experience with it and know what can be improved upon. Always be willing to learn.
